Local store for Alu. 10 Gallon Brew Pot?

What price are you guys finding for a 40 Quart aluminum pot? (10 Gallon) The stores in my area want $100 bucks for one, which seems really high.

Local store for Alu. 10 Gallon Brew Pot?

Anyone find one of these at a common brick and mortar store? Lowes, Home Depot, Wal-mart....something like that? Need to find one for this weekend, and don't want to pay a arm and a leg.

Two issues with my first AG brew process

Most helpful idea. Will definitely do that.

    Coleman Xtreme too much?

Many thanks Joe. I'll post mine from this weekend to compare. I plan on brewing up BM's Centennial Blonde. What is the rate of absorption you factor in to your batch sparging presuming you use this method.

    Coleman Xtreme too much?

For those of you using this beast, what is your rate of absorption? I'll obviously calculate mine with the numbers I get after I brew, but I'd like a ballpark so my first brew isn't a total waste. LOL

Two issues with my first AG brew process

Being a complete AG noob myself, and wanting to try this this weekend...how the hell do you figure out all this stuff? Is there a website that explains all this? I mean...calculating how much water evaporates from your brew pot??? How the hell do you figure that out! LOL

    Coleman Xtreme too much?

No reason to dislike the cpvc really...it just seems in the past 2 years, the hobby has evolved, and the SS braid is the common choice of most mash tuns. So if everyone is adopting it, there must be a reason no? I mean, I already have it built....so I suppose the easiest solution is to roll...

    Coleman Xtreme too much?

Man you guys are awesome. I plan on batch sparging..so this is fantastic news! I currently have a cpvc manifold in it now....one that I'm not entirely happy with...do you guys recommend a stainless steel braid for this one?

    Coleman Xtreme too much?

I plan on going all grain, and I had created a Mash tun from a 70 quart Coleman Xtreme a couple years ago that has been sitting in my closet now. My question is...for 5 gallon...(total 6.5 gallon of wort before boil) batches is this too large? I may end up doing 10 gallon batches down the...

    Something Chocolaty, creamy and sweet

Are there any good sweet brews I could buy to see if I like them? So I don't make a total batch of something I'm not even looking for?

    Something Chocolaty, creamy and sweet

Don't get me wrong, I love dark chocolate as well my friend. :cross: I'm just looking for something ultra sweet and not bitter at all. Big chocolate blast. I can't explain it better then essentially I want a Chocolate Quik beer. LOL :rockin: I hope someone out there had the same desire and...

    Something Chocolaty, creamy and sweet

Woah...you think Young's is sweet? I'm talking I'm looking for a chocolate milk with alcohol kind of sweet. LOL

    Something Chocolaty, creamy and sweet

So I'm sitting here drinking a Young's Double Chocolate Stout....and here's what I am thinking: A) For what I'm looking for, this beer has too much roasty notes to it. B) Is not nearly chocolatey enough. Thinking more of a milk chocolate than a bitter chocolate would be good. C) Is not NEARLY...

What's the keg conditioning for this recipe look like?

SWMBO Slayer Extract tastes like Bubble Gum

Wyeast Belgian Wheat 3942 smack pack. I keg my beer, should I skip the secondary and put it into the keg for conditioning now? It needs to be ready for Halloween.
  17. Q

SWMBO Slayer Extract tastes like Bubble Gum

And it's horrible. Primary for 3 weeks at 65 degrees in a temp controlled kegerator. Tasted a sample at 2 weeks, and it tasted like bubble gum. Moved to secondary tonight...horrible bubble gum flavor. Was supposed to be my halloween party beer. Thoughts as to why this happened, will...

    Finally got a logo made

I suppose not everyone would get it....those people I hope would say...oh, cool logo. LOL The World Tree is associated with Odin, the Norse God. Valhalla is where Odin would take the fallen warriors in battle, where they would await Ragnarok, or the final battle.
