Did your brewing change after first kid?

I've actually started brewing more in the year since we had ours. Since Friday nights are now spent at home, that has become my brew time. Everything is set up the night before, I heat up my water on the way in the door after work. Say hello to the family, mash in then it's dinner time and i'm...

    Storing DME and adjuncts?

These are great for specialty grains. Holds about 5-7 lbs perfectly and cheap as hell. Not airtight, but that's not necessary. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sterilite-6-Qt-Storage-Box-in-White-and-Clear-Plastic-16428960/203120094

    First All Grain Brew!!

I'm sorry if I missed where you mentioned what you were brewing. Assuming you're dryhopping an IPA i'd say 4-5 days. PS buy more fermenters and don't secondary anything you aren't long-term aging.

    First All Grain Brew!!

Should be fine if it's only for a few days. Not ideal, but what you did with the CO2 should help.

    Minimalist Homebrewing

I've been using the same cheapo aluminum turkey fryer and propane burner for years now to do BIAB. And just took best of show in a moderately sized competition, so good beer can be made without all the shiny bells and whistles Primary fermentation in a bucket and straight to the keg. Haven't...

    Cutting the Cord

I bought my own modem for about $60 instead of paying the $8 month rental fee they charge. Pays for itself in less than a year

    Cutting the Cord

In regards to sling, in my experience you can use on multiple devices at the same time, just not the same channel at the same time. We've had two tv's using it at the same time with no issues. May be worth revisiting, they have an impressive channel catalog

    Cutting the Cord

You can fast forward on Kodi, so it's pretty much like already having it DVR'd. Sports: that's a good question. Not sure about pausing live tv. And as far as I know they don't go into a database for on demand viewing.
