I've now got one of McMaster Carr 1986K5 in each of my 425s.
When I let go of the handle at any position, it automatically closes.

Just ordered one from Mike for my Perlick 425s.
A question and a couple of thoughts:
1.] the bottling wands in the vids have no check valve at the bottom.
Why not use a wand with check valve on bottom instead of turning handle on and off, on and...
Been using the mcmaster silicone rings for a couple years. Work great. I do have one keg which the lid does not fit at all well. It hits metal on metal b4 the o-ring seats. It is like the lid it too big for the opening. Any ideas? Maybe a williams ring will work on this...?
There are a lot of other dollars and elbow grease that go into a keezer.
My brand new kenmore 8.8 was only 1/4 of the overall cost.
Don't skimp on the base unit and waste 3/4 of the cost.
I read "lately" to read as if 1/2 C had worked well in the past.
A lot of the folk here keg/bottle weeks before I call fermentation complete.
Residual undigested sugars also contribute to final CO2. If that has changed, it could contribute as well.

I do bottle a few from each batch for traveling.

Great combo for a picnik, bonfire, tailgate, camping, you name it!
Not all perlicks are forward sealing.
Not all forward sealing perlicks are the easiest to clean.
The perlick 425 and 525 are great. The 425 is easier to clean.
