    Just moved to Wilmington, DE

I haven't been to Delaware in years, but it always makes me think of Wayne's World. Yup, I think that about sums it up. :drunk: EDIT: Sorry for not being any help whatsoever.

    Bottle Bombs!

That's pretty incredible. Haha. One of those "why didn't I think of that" ideas.

    My stupid friends V.S. Reality

I'm expecting it too. Guinness is pretty bland, in my opinion. But the fact that I've heard multiple people tell me the same thing makes me wonder.

    My stupid friends V.S. Reality

I've had a lot of friends who have toured Europe and all of them say that Guinness tastes better for some reason in Ireland. I'm skeptical about this, but I've been watching Oz and James Drink to Britain and now the question is REALLY nagging at me. So let's set the record straight. I know...

    advice on my second batch

I second the nut brown idea. Nothing says fall like a good nut brown.

I just dropped a measuring tape into my beer

Hey, at least you didn't stick your hand into a kettle full of hot wort. =D

BBC- Oz and James Drink to Britain.

I've been interested in seeing this, but 1.) kind of forgot, and 2.) didn't especially know where to look. Thanks for posting! I guess I know what I'm doing on my day off tomorrow... It'd be great if someone did an American version of the show, although the likelihood of that happening is...

Broke up with my LHBS today

I currently work in a pharmacy and I can't imagine if this same sort of thing happened there. Not dispensing meds because the patient would be buying the last that we have in stock? That's a recipe for potential ER visits. It's first come, first served, man. I guess what I'm trying to say, if...

What's Your preference in Pumpkin beer?

I'm curious to try the Sixpoint Autumnation a friend of mine in Brooklyn told me about recently. It's apparently a pumpkin ale that clocks in at 68 IBUs. I had a Smuttynose Pumpkin ale the other day and was surprised at how hoppy it was for a pumpkin beer.

Thanks, man. I'm crossing my fingers. I'll let you know how it goes.

I feel like the two responses listed so far are in contradiction of each other.

    Horror WIN Thread (Netflix streaming)

Probably the worst movie I have ever seen is also one of the best. It's unfortunately not available on Netflix, and the only place I can seem to find it is on Comcast On Demand under Free Movies every once in a while. It's called Vampire on Bikini Beach and is UNREAL. It's horrible in the best...

    Interview

I've got an interview at Troegs Brewing Company tomorrow morning. I'm incredibly stoked. I'm interviewing to work in their tasting room/gift shop. I'm really hoping to get the job, as I think it'd be a foot in the door. Any suggestions on how to nail this one, people?

    Wyeast Belgian Saison advice (AGAIN.)

I'm kind of a newbie so no, I didn't take a gravity reading before I racked it to secondary. But the good news is that it IS still coming down just fine. I just need to keep the temperature cranked and let it do it's thing.

SWMBO just killed my hope for making my kegerator

Hey man, at least you have SOME cash. My wife just lost her job, so I am back to drinking Lionshead and Yuengling until something changes and I can go back to drinking the good stuff. Still waiting for my saison to be done, so until then, it's light-less-flavor.

    Wyeast Belgian Saison advice (AGAIN.)

Man, this Wyeast 3724 is REALLY finicky. The recommended temperature is 75-95 F. The closet where I keep my fermenter was hovering right around 80-83, but since the weather has started to get a little cooler, it has dropped to 75ish, and drops to about 70ish at night. I bought a small space...
