Did you do that 'test' indoors or outdoors. I hope this thing doesn't loose 10 degrees INSIDE at room temp...If so I may take it back before I start drilling it.

It does matter because it can leach chemicals. I don't know for sure, but I would assume it's NOT food grade. It's for toilets!!!

I have one. No it is not big enough for a keggle. But I use the grate from my grill and put that on top of the burner and put the keggle on that, and it works great.

Yea, my 5 gallon cooler had that problem. I had to use a bunch of washers and o rings to make it work.

I whirlpool counterclockwise....against nature. Only because my immersion chiller flows clockwise...so I stir the opposite way to quicken the heat exchange, and I dont want to undo all that whirlpooling by stirring the other way when I take the IC out.

I don't have a carboy, but im pretty sure it won't fit with the lid closed. It will fit width wise, if you just want to throw some icewater around it or something.
