    RECOMMENDATION FOR SUMMER BREW

Any recommendation for a summer beer that can be made quickly that would go with a lemon or lime zest addition? Thanks in advance

    Chiller in conical fermenter

The one I have is a Grainfather that is double-wall with coolant channels between the walls. Very convenient but pricey though. Looking at something I can capitalize on having chiller capacity but less expensive. I have a stainless wort chiller that came with my brew kettle but also have a...

    Chiller in conical fermenter

I'm planning on adding a second fermenter to the inventory. The first one is the GF with built-in cooling jacket and controller. My chiller is supposed to be able to handle 4 units. I'd like to add another stainless conical. I was thinking about drilling the sides and welding in a stainless wort...

    First ever batch

I'm planning on following instructions from the equipment mfgrs and recipe to a tee and go from there. Just looked at grain prices for bulk compared to buying kits and I'm seeing bulk in my near future. Just have to resolve a few issues I'm totally confused about now, namely pH control and how...

    First ever batch

Anybody ever make their first batch and it turned out so good they didn't change anything and that's all they ever made and they were happy ever after? .....and I just received my first grain kit today (Caribou Slobber). Finishing my enclosure on the back deck and I'll be in business

    Grain mill gap

Just setting system up now. Using Brewzilla 35L. I bought a NB Hullwrecker mill that goes down to 0.025" gap. If I mill down to minimum gap, am I asking for trouble with clogging the lower screen? Thanks in advance

    ELECTRIC ALL GRAIN SYSTEM QUESTION

It seemed odd because the mash systems require lifting the mash basket (or other containment) so you'd probably want the boiler low as possible, but to gravity transfer you'd want it high as possible.

    ELECTRIC ALL GRAIN SYSTEM QUESTION

For electric all grain systems, seems there is always a recirculation pump, which makes sense to me, but no talk of using the pump to transfer wort to the fermenter. Any idea why not or have I not looked at enough systems and some do?

    Love Golf?

Just started playing again after 3+ year hiatus. Had some hardcore back and neck surgeries in 2017. I gained a lot of weight after the surgeries with all of the side effects. Finally got control of weight and have lost 50 lb since November. Celebrated and did a round in Miami area then another...

    GETTING INTO IT QUESTIONS

I like to go into projects full-speed, so needless to say my projects can be expensive. If I start to home brew, in a perfect world, I'd like to have the gear I'll use to the bitter end. Leads to question, 1. Is top-notch gear re-sellable without losing excessive value? May sound morbid, but if...

    Hello from Savannah, GA

My fav beer is Shiner Bock. None to be found in Savannah that I know of. I probably wouldn't have considered home brew if I had a reliable supply. I do, however, tend to get hooked on DIY stuff. Sounds like fun and probably really gratifying to make a good batch. Maybe find a partner or two to...

    Hello from Savannah, GA

Name's David. Pondering starting a system so in a search I came across this forum. I love doing things myself and add to that I can't find my favorite beer anywhere around here. Still have a lot of research to do but looking at a BIAB system with controlled brew system and controlled fermenter...
