First AG attempt tomorrow, water question, please help....

OK guys thank you. I never made a bad beer with bottled spring water, well at least not because of the water. So I will concentrate more on process and procedure, and just use the water as is.

As the heading states I will be attempting my first AG brew tomorrow. When I was doing Extracts and then PM, I never worried about water. I just purchased bottled spring water, and used that. Does This Look OK? First AG APA attemt

Does this look better? As far as keeping the grain bill closer to style and the hop schedule eliminating the 30 min? Grains 4LBS Pilsner 1.5LBS Munich 1LB Carmel 40 Hops .75oz Cascades 60min 1oz Citra 10 min Mash @ 152

Does This Look OK? First AG APA attemt

My boil off when tested with water was 1.25 gal in 60 min. Its being done stove top. I was hoping for roughly 3 gal to bottle which is where the 3.25 comes from. I really like Troegs Pale Ale. I read that they use pilsner and Munich, I added the Vienna just for a bit more malt to try to balance...

Question on heat for BIAB mash

Sort of on the same subject, could the mash process be done in a 10 gallon cooler the same way it is done in a pot and then transferred to the kettle? I'd like to go BIAB route but its pretty cold here. I have a 10 gal cooler, just never converted one. Thank you.

    Washing Reusable Bottles???

I just bought 6 cases of reusable 16oz bottles from my local beer distributor. I was going to soak them in oxy clean overnight to remove labels and wash them. After a good thorough rinse, what else do I need to do before using them? Thank you.

    Caramel cream ale?

Brewed this about 5 years ago, I cant believe this thread is still alive. This beer off the recipe on the front page was really good. I actually had a restaurant here want to put it on tap. No I didnt let that happen, but it turned out that good. I have had alot of people over the years ask me...

    Cost

If your asking could you buy cheaper then you can brew, you have to compare apples to apples. You can go buy Budweiser cheaper then you can brew a like for, but I can brew good Nut Brow Ale cheaper then say a case of Sammy Smith. However if the primary goal is to save $$, you might be disappointed.
