    Cheaper CO2 attempts for sodastream

CO2 is sold by weight, so you should be good with 24oz. If you blow yourself up, though, I will not be held responsible. I can't imagine they're designed to be refilled using that method.

    Vintage Chest Freezer Build

A couple 2x4s is nothing but you definitely have to account for the labor of moving it. I have a 1949 GE fridge, and I will never again move it up/down stairs. I moved recently and I was so afraid it would either crash through the puny wooden steps or that someone would lose their grip and it...

Able to move keg posts with hand?

Most of the time I can hand tighten my keg posts (cornelius and spartan mix) and they seem to seal just fine. Sometimes if I'm not careful, if I rotate the QD when it's attached it will loosen up the post. In light of that I usually tighten them with a socket, but not necessarily attached to a...

    Oak Aged Cream Soda

I've only done it once, and it's lasted me almost two years. I probably could have used more beans, but it still came out with a nice strong flavor. I highly recommend it. If I can convince my wife that I need to go buy another bottle of everclear, I'll probably do it again.

    Oak Aged Cream Soda

Water doesn't pull out vanilla flavor from the bean very well, even if you boil it. If you want a customized vanilla bean flavor, soak them in alcohol to make your own vanilla extract. They go a lot further that way. I've found about 1 oz vanilla extract per gallon of finished soda gives a...

DIY - Festival Serving Table - Share Your Ideas!

I like your closet door idea, particularly the 2b setup with a center logo. I think that would look pretty classy. Just make sure you either seal your logo or you use something other than chalk so it won't smudge on the way to the festival. Not a serving table per se, but this is my serving...

    Honey Soda?

Andrew Schloss has a honey soda recipe in his book, I think it's one of the few that has fermentation instructions. It has some spices in it IIRC.

    Cola without any extracts

Not sure where you're seeing blue on that, those are all caramel colors. If you're looking for natural blue, spirulina was recently approved as a natural, acid stable, blue color. I'm not sure where you might find it though.

What's up Soda People - Write for HBT

Austin, I had some stuff outlined back when we exchanged emails in October. Then life got crazy. We had a kid, again, for the fifth time. And then as soon as my sleep schedule started to get back to normal, I decided it was time for a job change, which has led to a move back across the...

    Cola without any extracts

I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum, but there is an interesting blog post about getting the different colors and flavors while making belgian candy sugar. That might be a something for you to check out. Though I will say, it's very similar in concept to the industrial...

Mini Fridge with through-the-door taps -- anyone?

I forget what size my mini fridge is, but it's too small for two 5 gal ball locks, so I have a 5 gal in front, and a 3 gal pin lock on the hump. I had to shave a tiny bit of insulation in a few places, but if I'm careful I can get a 5# CO2 tank in there as well. There's also room for a 1 gal...

    Scaling up carbonation

#4 is not necessarily exclusive to post mix. I have mixed up my flavor ingredients in the keg, added carbonated water and then set to my desired psi. It speeds up the carbonation process significantly because a portion of the water is already carbonated. That way you can keep kegs of...

    removing gauges from regulator

I think I twisted mine out by hand, but I don't recall. I may have used just a plain old adjustable wrench. How exactly are they broken? Did something shear off?

    good bench capper?

I'll second the second on the Super Agata. I've had mine for nearly 5 years without any trouble. It has capped it's fair share of twisties, too. The only bottles I've found that I will not recap are the 16oz sprecher soda bottles. I'm not sure if they use the same bottles for beer, but those...

    My Jockey Box Rebuild

You're using the "Email & IM" link, which doesn't seem to show up here. I usually use the "Direct" link and it will automatically be resized, but should show up just fine otherwise. Looks like a steal at $10. I've tried to get my hands on some of those faucets for soda, but new they're like...

    Glow in the Dark Beer!

I'd have bought it a little more readily if the glowing tonic water and the glowing fermenter were the same color. Nice job, though. I'm betting someone will actually try this.

Pennsylvania Tap Handles & Cornelius Chest Bottle Rack Vendor (No Rack) for kegerator? Erie, PA

Done and bolded. My apologies, I wanted to leave it flexible. I googled the model number and came up with a few images of Pepsi branded ones. I would guess it's mid 60's to mid 70's, but I have nothing to base that on other than the faux wood grain finish.
