Definitely more testing will have to be done to figure this out. Currently the water that is used for cleaning is also used to transport the grain and also used as a media in the biodigester.

LOL the day gravity brakes will be an interesting one nevertheless. And yes there is a lot to know and understand with a system like this. Having a background in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering really helps when building such a system. I'm sure that if this product takes off...

I will definitely be doing this. Thank you!

I'm so happy to hear that! This is exactly why I'm building this system. I have brewed a few thousands of gallons of beer since I've started almost 10 years ago and I can say without a doubt, every time I brew the same recipe time and time again, it is never the same. And the only thing that...

In all honesty yeah anything is possible. It's just time and money. Budweiser here in California has a fully automated system, almost. And they brew on a massive scale. There's lots of spent grain removal which is a manual process for them. There is a lot of automation to remove the bulk of it...

I may have done that a few times already LOL. The cabinet wiring alone took around 25 to 30 hours. And yes because there is so much I/O everything had to be as neat and clean and color-coded as possible. With home runs whenever possible. Thank you for the compliment.

You really should only have to take the system apart once a year. Everything inside the system cleans itself. It even gets rid of your grain for you. And yes the price is a little much.

I'm sure you're correct, but the system isn't for everyone. I've spent $20,000 more than 50k and I'm still happy about it so I mean there's at least one person. I've talked to two different schools and they both offer master's degrees in Brewing. Both of the schools would like to acquire this...

Oh that is a very good idea at an inline TDS meter would be not that hard to obtain. For water correction, Instead of dry powder I would have liquid solutions and use peristaltic pumps for meeting.

The silos have an auger that transport the grain to the mill and the mill has an auger that transports the grain to the mash tun

Yes pretty much all these systems will be custom made to order and the particular stainless steel vessel that we use is a 14 gauge pharmaceutical shipping drum that can be purchased up words of 75 gallons and as small as 3 gallons. They are definitely the thickest and the most heaviest seamless...

Well my two favorite things in the whole world are beer and automation. My previous system was very I guess small and very manual... And pretty much all NPT fittings which are not sanitary whatsoever. Luckily it's on the hot side so it's not like the end of the world. Also getting rid of the...

So you think you know 220v wiring? Well i need your help.

I would definitely get GFCI Breakers. They cost more but then you don't need to put a GFCI on the other end.

And hopefully it's just going to be an idea for 3 more months... It's only been 25 months and Counting.

Currently for water adjustments it cannot. Most of the beer I brew I don't adjust the water profile. I'm located in the mountains of Northern California and have some pretty darn good water right out of the tap. Before it sees any Brewing ingredients it does pass through a filtration system that...

On the biodigester, no not yet. That is something that will be investigated in the future and will definitely take some experimentation on its own. Considering that the by product of the biodigester would need to be separated from its non-volatile counterpart I am slightly hesitant until I have...

Yes we do have oxygen going through CO2 diffusers in the fermenters. But before wort ever sees oxygen it is cooled to 40 degrees first and then brought back up to our pitching temperature which varies from strain to strain. We found by doing this are beer is incredibly clear with no need to add...

In all fairness they have made something that actually works quite well, and I'm just in the prototyping stage yet. My fingers are crossed though!
