How I print beer lables for cheap. small runs and long runs, waterproof-ish.

Yeah I had the thought go through my head that it would really suck to clean all of that off. It does really aid in the appearance but I am guessing you only would do this on very good beers.

    Malt poster?

Cut back on Beer because the belly is too big?

This is the exact reason why I started buying low calorie foods and dressings. Eat a little better so you can drink a little more. I may have to cut back my intake a bit seeing as I can go through 5 gallons in a couple of weeks depending on how much time I actually spend at home.

Funny things you've overheard about beer

Ha Ha at least someone accepted and knew that the sud light needed something extra. Too bad you didn't get her to start drinking good craft brews.

How I print beer lables for cheap. small runs and long runs, waterproof-ish.

Wow very impressive looking well done indeed! Just one question though why the wax dipped bottles? I have seen this before but it seems as if it is really just about the presentation of the whole thing?

    Plastic fermenter container

Oh is that little port really a valve though? Seems like it would be a pretty good container but does it need to be food grade?

    Adding Malt Too Early?

No it should be fine. I can't think of any reason that this would hurt anything. One other thing to consider is the fact that you can add half the lme at the specified time and the other half near the end at around 15 minutes. Doing this can reduce the chance of your brew turning out darker...

    just ordered 2 kits...

My tips that I would have liked the first time I brewed would be watch the boil the entire time when you start brewing, until you get a feel for how your stove or burner heats and maintains the boil. Also if you are not using an immersion chiller than get a lot of ice for an ice bath. I.E. a...

issues with first lager (to chuck or not to chuck)

So how many days have you actually had it lagered? I find that most of my beers taste fairly green until I have them at low temps for at least 1-2 weeks. After I have my beers kegged and chilled for about 3 weeks they taste even better. But this is just what I have experienced so far.

Caribou Slobber Brown Ale Extract Kit from Northern Brewers

I made this kit last year and I really enjoyed it. As others have said smooth and good flavor without any overpowering coffee flavor. For more really good reviews go look at NB's site because they have a load of reviews and almost every one of their kits are 5 star rated.

You know you're a home brewer when?

Ha Ha I always clean before brewing and kegging because I just couldn't brew in a dirty space (because I have so much crap that goes everywhere)

You know you're a home brewer when?

Maybe use a handcart? They even have hand carts that have belts that ride on stairs as you pull them up and if it works for moving a fridge I don't see why it wouldn't work for a carboy.
