Did I Waste My Money on a Brand New CO2 Tank?

Really they wont fill it there? That is interesting but I guess every place is different. I bought a nice shiny new 5# one and I have only had it filled it once but it is lasting a very long time.

    Don't try to stop me!!!!!

Ha Ha there is probably a secondary debate almost everyday on this forum. I personally do it unless my secondary is taken up. The main reason I transfer to secondary is I feel that I get clearer beer because there is a lot less trub on the bottom when I go to keg it. I believe it really made a...

Post pins push out past top after new seals?

I believe that they are actually smaller than the original seals because if they were thicker then the keg posts would be flush. Also when I took the old ones out they were wider but very square instead of round like a new seal. Every keg I have bought so far has had square shaped seals in...

    I whirlpooled my soup today

My best advice is throw back a beer. Nothing like having a drink when your sick to ease the aches and pains. Good luck in your recovery!

    Words and phrases I hate

Um. All I can ever think about when someone is talking, is their repeated usage of the "word" um.

    Carboy or Plastic Bucket

I prefer glass and only ferment in glass but that is because I like to leave PBW in to clean it and you can scrub glass without fear of scratching it. (I have never done mead before and so far have only done beer) As Inner10 stated, it is easier to work with and if you are going to be doing...

What are the techniques for adding hops?

Most extract kits will come with pellet hops that you just drop into the wort at specific time intervals. So you really did kits that did not have a single ounce of hops? Were they very sweet? I am just asking out of curiosity because I have never seen a kit that did not use some hops.

Post pins push out past top after new seals?

Yes I am referring to the poppet. I was pretty sure that it was okay but when I bought them it was not sticking out past which led me to be slightly concerned. Thanks for the info!

Post pins push out past top after new seals?

Sorry if this has already been addressed but I could not find anything specific to my question. Okay so whenever I buy used kegs I get the used keg seal kit that comes with all new seals. Whenever I disassemble the liquid side ports and put new seals with keg lube on them, the center portion...

    Kegging without CO2

Do they actually have lubricants inside of them? I thought that normally the user just put a drop of oil on the tip of the cartridge to lubricate the seal, and that the actual co2 was dry, without any additives.

    What are you drinking now?

I just kegged my Cream ale a little over a week ago and the results are spectacular. This beer is great and even my fiancee thinks that it is a great beer and she actually wants to drink it.
