I want to hear about this peach milkshake IPA!

    Best CO2 regulator

I've had nothing but bad luck with CO2 regulators. If they don't read right, they leak. Any suggestions? I need to buy two asap. Thanks!

    Irish red recipe critique

I concur. This is a basic Irish red. I suggested Red X because I was assuming you wanted a lighter version of an Irish red.

    Cocktails on draft

Thanks for the replies! If I use nitrogen or argon, what pressure do I push at to avoid the 'nitro' effect? Unless that's a non issue because it won't be carbonated?

    Cocktails on draft

Anyone have experience kegging cocktails? I want to put a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned (or maybe a Vieux Carre) in a 2.5 gallon corny keg and serve it from my kegerator. My question: what gas do I use to push it but not carbonate it? CO2 will only carbonate it. Can I use nitrogen? Or will that...

    Irish red recipe critique

Not to hijack your post, but to hijack your post, could you skip the roasted barley and trade a couple pounds of Maris Otter for some Red X? Should provide you with a lot of red color and biscuity goodness without any added roasted flavors. I'd keep the crystal for flavor, but maybe go with C60...

    making HFCS free soda syrup

I may be wrong, but I think Monin simple syrups are made with plain sugar and not HFCS

    Keg chimes falling off

I've got a bunch of Euro 1/2 bbl's that were a bad purchase from a previously employed brewer. The bottom chimes keep falling off. I've tried liquid nails that says it works on rubber and stainless steel-- best stuff I could find at home depot. Not working-- they're starting to fall off again...

    Getting intoBrewing

I concur with both HopHeavy and Dcpcookd, but I'd like to throw in another idea: volunteering. I've been wanting to learn how to brew professionally for years, but my actual money-making career never allowed for it. Still, I started working weekends a few years ago as a bartender at a local...

HELP - cream ale too dry

So someone forgot to cold crash the cream ale over the weekend. Expected attenuation with Nottingham was 75% due to us crashing it on Friday. This morning we're at 93.6%. This beer has 4% lactose added to the bill and is usually your typical crowd pleaser, simple, slightly sweet cream ale. Now...

    Commercial Scale Up

I think the concept would be both (a) a one time, exclusive, here till it's gone thing, and (b) a permanent tap in various metro establishments that always has a rotating scaled up beer sourced from a local homebrewer.

    Commercial Scale Up

    Awesome, thank you, sir

    Commercial Scale Up

I work for a microbrewery. I'm pitching the idea of having a year round rotating "best of local homebrew" beer that is a scale up from a homebrew competition. The basics would be limited entries, an entry fee, and a designated style and parameters. The winner's beer would be scaled up to 15...

    4th of July

I've got a big party out at the vineyard for the 4th of July (though I think we're calling it the 1st). I'll have a two or three tap jockey box set up by then. My problem is: I'm at a loss for what styles to make. Uninspiringly, this is what I've come up with: *Kölsch *Wit w/coriander and...

    Cider Gose/Salty Cider

I realize this is a dead thread a couple years old, but did you ever have any luck with a gose-style cider? I'd like to attempt it.
