    Brewcam

So, I've been messing around with my Raspberry Pi that's running BrewPi. I now have a live brewcam. Not much going on right now, but if you watch for a few seconds, you'll likely see a bubble or two pop. Primary fermentation is just about done...gonna double check tomorrow and get it going...

It's not the best picture, but here, you'll see my yellow wires all leading back to A4. (Actually, it looks like A5...regardless, it's an analog pin.)

That's just a diagram I grabbed off google...my sensors data wires go to Analog Pin 4. I just used that diagram for reference for the pull up resistor.

I'm using the analog pin on my setup...works perfectly. I'm using Digital Pin 6 to send the signal to my PowerSwitch Tail (relay).

Ok, well the color of the wires aside, do you have a 4.7k resistor inline from the 3.3V (or 5V) to the data wire?

Mine are Red = hot, Black = ground, Yellow = Data

Thanks kerber! I still like yours better, but I'm pretty darn happy with mine. Thanks for doing the write-up on yours because that really helped.

Got my BrewPi setup done, using a Raspberry Pi, Arduino Uno and a PowerSwitch Tail II. Why are my images sideways??

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

How many of you guys with propane setups brew in your garage? My driveway is not level so I can't brew out there. Was wondering about brewing at the edge of the garage with the door up.

My Mini Fridge to Fermentation Chamber Build

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask anyway. With your carboys being essentially at floor level, how do you get the beer into the secondary vessel without picking up the primary and elevating it on a table or something? Doesn't that disturb the junk at the bottom, and lead to...

    Show us your Kegerator

Yeah, I ordered a PC fan and a 12VDC power supply (don't have any old cell phone chargers).
