    Keg to ekeggle conversion pics

Question for the OP: Have you tried your hop spider design yet? Reason I ask is because I had one made for me very very similar to yours, where the od of the spider was just a couple inches less than the id of kettle. I had huge problems once things started boiling. First the stopper would...

5 Gallon Brew Rig - Now with DIY Tippy Dump!

They are just a couple of kitchen timers!!! BTW I've since moved this setup to my basement and converted it to electric. Here's the thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f170/th-s-somewhat-unconventional-e-brewery-384219/

FYI - do not use non-SS wire to tie up your keg hop bag...

Someone here gave me the idea but I used a ss worm gear hose clamp around the pressure relief valve that sticks out from the inside of the lid.

FYI - do not use non-SS wire to tie up your keg hop bag...

Brewed my best batch to date IMHO recently - a IIPA something similar to hopslam - 24lbs grain, 12oz hops for 5 gal. After about a week in the keg, I started to get a very very strong metal taste. Got so bad I couldn't drink it. After letting it sit several weeks, I finally opened it up...

Need something better than cardboard for storing bottles...

Another option that I still use for bottle storage: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f11/my-newly-discovered-bottle-storage-unit-90478/

    American IPA Hopslam Clone

Another FYI...the batch I just transferred to keg yesterday had a FG of 1.012. I also used 2 packs of S-05. Mine however only had an OG of 1.084 so I think I'm right around 9.5%.

Calling all IPA lovers...what are your favorite 3?

Interesting, I thought maybe it was just me who didn't care for this year's hopslam as much. I had a 4-pack of Founders double trouble last week and I think it edges out hopslam in my book for the first time. In other updates, I bought a case of Columbus IPA from Columbus Brewing Co. on my...

Upright Keezer with rigid-mounted picnic taps

Originally I used a heat gun, it was a real pain and it took a long time and a number of unsuccessful attempts before I got a couple of them on. But for the last one I made I used an MFL-type disconnect like here: with a John Guest fitting (P/N: MI4508F4S) shown here: It works...

4.6 cu ft Fridge to 10.1 cu ft Fermentation Chamber Conversion

Yes it worked pretty well, the only thing is if I bumped it then I think it would separate a little. The weakest link actually was the adhesive on the magnetic strip. So one time when I needed to relocate it to the other side of my "brewery", I took it apart and reassembled in its new...

    American IPA Fresh Squeezed IPA

Great. I screwed up on two accounts. Oh well live and learn. I think I'll move it to secondary for dry hop to get it off the chips.

    American IPA Fresh Squeezed IPA

Brewed this yesterday - thanks for the recipe. I had to make one substitution due to the LHBS being out of Amarillo so I went with Citra. Hopefully that won't change it too much. Let me know your thoughts on this (anyone), most of it goes in the dry hop so its not too late to go with...
