DONT GET A LURE BAG!! Unless you put it a block away, every japanese beetle for miles wil be right in your own back yard. I learned the hard way. My garden still hates me for it.:mug:

Barley Crusher setup (not the pins)

First get some feeler gauges and check your gap. Then look and see if there is a rubber o-ring on the roller. It is not needed and may have bound up. (do a search for barley crusher rubber o-ring)

My Hops just Died or something - Help!

Weed killer maybe? Not sure if it affects them, but if you or your neighbor sprayed it could explain why they died so fast.

    Splitting Crowns

2 Super Jumbo's still would have been cheaper than 1 crown. Although next year I may get a crown if they offer.

Just thought I would update you guys on the astringency problem. I brewed a batch of EdWorts Haus Pale with excellent results. I replaced the braid on the MLT with a braid that has a larger diameter and tighter weave. After recurculating about a gallon of runnings I used a grain bag as a...

    Splitting Crowns

I am not saying don't cut it because I have no clue. But the guy I talked to from Freshops said he definately would not recommend cutting a crown in half. He actually told me just to buy a couple Jumbo's or the Super Jumbo. He didn't explain why but I took his word for it. I was going to...

Pictures of your Hop Babies/Hop Photo Thread

[/IMG] Still a work in progress but am rather proud of it so far. Got the trellis idea from here. Two Cascade, Two Willamette, a Davenport Golding and a Hallertau. The Hallertau and one Cascade are 2nd year transplants from growing them on the chain link fence. The Golding just came...

Hops growing in limited space (perfect stake!)

I almost went with the same thing until I thought about lightning and the extremely bad luck I have. Anyway, just drill a hole through the two sections and bolt or pin them together like scaffolding, they won’t go any where. You can also get the post anchors...

    Keg coversion questions

Nope, just make sure you use oil and low speed. Try harbor freight or other discount tool stores for a step drill. They can be pricey.

POLL!!! Help finish this poster/t-shirt design!

+1 on going with the original image #1. If you can get Stones permission, I think it would go better on the back. Right underneath "Broaden your palate" and a simple HBT logo on the front. Either way sign me up for one.
