I got a new immersion chiller and I'm wondering what to expect

I will be doing my first brew (DIPA) with a chiller and I am wondering if it will change the flavor of my product as compared to not chilling. For example, if I don't chill the wort down fast enough, all the late hop additions (5, 10mins) probably turn into bittering hops. However, if I chill...

:D I want to use a water pump to cycle icecold water through it. Any recommendations on what pump to get?

Is Kern River's Citra DIPA bitter?

Yes it's from a clone. Apparently the bitterness and sweetness balance each other out very well. I might just bump it up to a full 1oz and be done with it.

Is Kern River's Citra DIPA bitter?

So how do I rearrange this recipe? If I move all the Citra to the end then it might just be too much Citra for late addition. Do I just replace the 30 and 15 min Citra with something else?

Is Kern River's Citra DIPA bitter?

All reviews of that beer seem to suggest that it is not very better and I suspect it is so because of all the late addition hops are masking it. I would like to keep the citrus flavor profile of this beer but make it distinctively bitter. What should I use for bittering hops and how much...

I'm looking for a recipe for a full-bodied, citrus, bitter, IPA with lots of hop flavor

Should I replace it with the crystal malt? I like.magnum but it's an attenuated bitter. However it's pretty smooth. Maybe I'll use that instead. How much magnum should I use instead of the 1oz of Chinook?

I'm looking for a recipe for a full-bodied, citrus, bitter, IPA with lots of hop flavor

I'm thinking like 154F. I think the late addition and dry hops I'm using will get me the citrus I'm looking for. Maybe I'll great a new post to see what people think about the difference between 1 or 2 oz of Chinook.

I'm looking for a recipe for a full-bodied, citrus, bitter, IPA with lots of hop flavor

It's hard to say because I'm having trouble imagining how much residual sugar this will have, especially if I mash on the high side. I just want it to be noticeably bitter and at the same time a bit sweet as well.

Do you think it will give me what I'm looking for? I'm wondering if I should double the Chinook bittering hops to 2 oz.

Anyone have a recipe for a proven full-bodied, citrusy, sweet, bitter IPA? Did I just describe a West Coast style IPA? Anyone have a proven recipe for Space Dust?
