    My Fancy Keezer Build

I am really interested in this last question. I am a bit confused on how the shell is attached to the lid. It looks like Regular Dude's Garage build a lip on the front however I don't see how you can create a seal with that lip under the lid.

What style should I enter in competition?

I thought about that but the guidelines say a haze is inappropriate. It doesn't drink like a 13% cider, so I was thinking of an English category that allows for a bit of haze.

What style should I enter in competition?

Happy brewing, everyone. I made my first cider and I want to enter into competition. It comes in at around 13% alcohol, is dry with a bit of tart, and is a bit cloudy with a pale color like straw/hay. Any suggestions as to which category I should enter?

Need To Source A New SCOBY

Hello all. It's been awhile since I have posted here. Awhile back a nice member on this forum gifted me a scoby to get started. That was roughly a year or two ago. Since then that scoby has produced countless gallons of bucha but alas it has finally gotten an infection and I never saved any...

Yup, looks perfectly healthy to me. Once the yeast do their job, the bacteria will do theirs.

    Growing a Scoby...or trying to.

I read through it....I just checked today and I am beginning to have some growth on top. I have moved the jar out of the closet and placed it on top of the fridge. I have the opportunity to have one shopped to me from someone on here but I am not sure about it yet. All they are asking is for the...

    Growing a Scoby...or trying to.

I started about a week ago with a bottle of GT's original. I poured that into a freshly made sweet tea mixture in a one quart mason jar. All I can see is yeast activity on the bottom of the jar. Much like brewing beer. I am still lacking any type of formation or activity on the top of the...

This is what I do but you can also search Craigslist for old refrigerators and then get a temperature control unit to keep the temp where you want it.
