What Brewers Best Extract Kits do you like?

Update on Brewers Best IPA. I just tried my first bottle (3 weeks bottle conditioned). I am very pleased with how this beer turned out. Great taste and feel. I'm letting the rest of the batch age an additional 2 weeks, but had to at least try one now. I will definitely use this kit again...

    A message to extract brewers.

Talk about taking an inch and going a mile. Don't believe I stated it was the"crappy extract's" fault. My intent wasn't to blame the extract/kit, but to state my limited experience. I absolutely do believe that a lot of the outcome had/has to do with my inexperience. I got into home brew...

    A message to extract brewers.

I'm relatively new to brewing and did a 100% extract my first time out. I would agree that I was a little disappointed with the outcome. It was a Coopers Kit and was relatively light, as it aged it got better. However, it never got to where I had hoped. Currently I'm waiting on my 2nd batch...

    Beer powered brewery

Saw this AP article today printed in my local paper, and thought it was pretty interesting. Too bad I don't brew at a higher capacity to make this cost efficient at my house. http://www.chron.com/news/science/article/Beer-will-help-power-Alaska-brewery-4248285.php

Reese's beer fail - lesson learned.

If I wasn't in Dallas today I would have swung by for a taste. Just moved back to Katy and getting into the brew scene. My second batch will be done in march and might need some constructive feedback.

    When to add orange?

I asked this a few weeks ago. Also ended up searching the Extract Brewing forum and the General Discussion forum keying in on "orange" and "zest". You will be able to find a lot of useful information if you read around. I ended up adding zest at flame-out, by using a peeler to get larger zest...

    Your favorite top five beers?

In no particular order: - No Label Ridgeback - Dogfish Head Midas Touch (draught) - St. Arnold's Pumpkinator - St. Arnold's Ellisa IPA - New Belgium Fat Tire I just can't shake the fat tire. It's been with me longest, and while it may not be top 5 best tasting beers it's always in my fridge.
