Double gauge 1 pressure, 2 kegs

I finally received the MicroMatic gauge in the mail, hooked it up to the CO2 and pressurized a bottle of water into seltzer. Wow this is going to be nice. I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff I need. Having a little bit of a shortage of $$ so I have to wait to get the next wave of...

    Freezer to Keezer help needed

Thank you Dan, that link was GREAT! So I went back downstairs and pulled this thermostat out, pulled off the tape in search of a set screw of some sorts… I did find a hole at the 12 o clock position on picture num 2 with a small regular screw inside the dial part of the switch, do you...

    Freezer to Keezer help needed

Ok thanks for the info there, I thought I read somewhere on here that the CO2 shouldn't be refrigerated or kept cold. I do have pleanty of room inside and it would be safer in there too. I didn't see a set screw on the back side of the thermostat? Any other ideas? Thanks

    Freezer to Keezer help needed

Hi all, I have a 4 foot Frigidaire chest freezer that I wanted to convert into a Keezer. My first dilemma is how do I get the temp up so my kegs don't freeze. Right now when its plugged in, the warmest I can get it is 10 degrees above zero. It does have a thermostat on the bottom but...

My first Brew - Cologne Kolsch

JLem, I'm taking the temp reading from the stick on thermometer thats on the bucket. Its currently 66 on the bucket. The room temp is reading 68. I can close the bedroom door and I will drop the temp by 5 degrees easily without moving it at all. Thanks again for the words of wisdom...:mug:

My first Brew - Cologne Kolsch

JLem, Thanks for the help, Im using Wyeast 2565 Kolsch. Last night it was bubbling away about 1 every second. Its slowed a little now to one every 1 1/2 -2 seconds. Its about 65-66 degrees where it is now. How long should it sit in the initial fermentation bucket, 1-2 weeks? The...

My first Brew - Cologne Kolsch

Thanks for the advice there, i just pulled out the package of yeast and re read it. You are right, it says maintain in 65-70F until fermentation is evident. I just moved it very carefully back into 65-70. Do you think this may give it more of a lag to start fermenting? If so how long should the...

My first Brew - Cologne Kolsch

Ok so today I made up my first batch of beer, it took me about 3 1/2 hours as I went slow and tried not to screw it up too bad. It all started out well, I had boiled 3 gallons of water the night before and I had that ready. I started out by cleaning everything and I made up a solution of...

    Homebrew Supply Websites

I will have to give them another call today as she said. I think that if the items were in stock, it SHOULD of been processed and shipped within 3 days. That is reasonable to me. A week is way too long. I may just cancel the order...

    Homebrew Supply Websites

HI all, Im just wondering how Midwest Supplies are for ordering….Supplies of course??? The reason I ask is that I ordered from them last Friday Feb 3 and every product that I ordered "said" it was in stock. As of now it still has not shipped? The shipping fee was a bit steep at $31.00 I...
