    Soldering Stainless steel

Ok, I'm a believer. I recieved my flux in the mail today and I attempted to solder the joint again. I've noticed with the new flux it etches the stainless even before I get heat on it (it was bubbling away). The solder flowed nicely and its a good mechanical bond. So yes I will eat my words...

    Soldering Stainless steel

I didnt have trouble doing it. I just could not get a good mechanical bond. Show me a joint you did that you took apart and proved there was wetting on the stainless and I'll eat my words. I want to see solder adheared to the stainless.

    Extech PID controller

Sounds like ssr main power can be ran off your 220vac but you are gonna need a dc source to opperate its logic. Since your plc is relay type you need a dc power source to hook through the pld to ssr logic input (or most commonly known as control input). I would use a voltage source thats right...

    Super Simple 15G Plastic Conical

I baught my legs from manufacturer. They seem too short to put a yeast catcher or work under the conical if needed. Id say save your money and build your own to suit your needs.

    Soldering Stainless steel

I used the liquid flux in the home depot kit mentioned in this thread. I will drop the dime and buy the other flux and try a test sweating again. I looked at all the pictures on this thread and I have to tell you, they don't look like they show any wetting up onto the stainless. One...
