Do a search on this forum for burner problems. There's a thread that shows issues like this and someone refered them to a website that explains to you how to solve most of the problems involved in setting up your burners. It's very informative and will most likely solve your issue.

Preference really. A plc gives you a true automated environment that you can program and control with a pc and can also run an independant routine over and over again without reseting it even when powered off. You can just power it on and it will run the last loaded program. Good for repititive...

I baught my bolts at ace and I actually baught the bolt called for here and the next shorter size. I find it easier to press the coupler in with the long one and make the demple with the shorter one due to threads on the bolt being shorter than the ones people order. It works pretty good.

Well considered using the copper clad home made sight tubes but then I made the mistake of looking up clear piping on the internet. Now I got a stick of half inch thick walled acrylic tubing coming to make my sight glasses out of. By the way who ever came up with the idea of polishing keggles...

Here's an updated view of the software. As you can see, the pipes change color when showing the flow of the liquid and the burners shut on and off to indicate flame is on.

Would like some more info on your contactors. I am looking to control 3 ac motors, and 12 24vdc solinoids using AB plc output modules that are AC outputs with 100ma max. Do any of your contactors fit that need? If so what the price for that many of them? (can I get a group discount?)

your daq should work just fine for this type of application. However, you might want to check to see if your daq will accept a 2 wire thermocouple directly to the daq analog input (I don't know what daq you have). if it has that capability, labview will see this fast enough and be pretty...

Thanks for the info. I should be getting the kit from them in a few days. It looks like you can only use one thermocouple while using this. Did you use these for your build? I'm looking to use 4 thermocouples in my build. Not sure this will work.
