    Super Simple 15G Plastic Conical

I've got one in mine and it works great for siphoning off the beer after fermenting. I had to trim it a little to get it to fit in the spot I put my drain though.

new system build and need input

Well brewed a batch in this thing and it went flawlessly. The only problem I had was the sparge time was off a little so I adjusted the flow rate in the calibration and fixed that. Other than that even cleanup was a breeze.

new system build and need input

After using the rig to brew, I have come to the conclusion that I needed a bypass valve on the filter for use with the chiller and for cleanout since the filter reduces water flow quite significantly. Here is the upgrade.

I got the tubing online not sure exactly what they are can't remember it was a while ago. I have to say though, I have ran the rig several times from start to finish and they have not had a problem yet. No leaks, melting, discoloring or anything. Were are you getting the borosilicate tubing...

    Soldering Stainless steel

either you are not using the right flux and/or you don't have it cleaned up enough. make sure you scrub the crap out of all the surface area being soldered with some fine sand paper or plumbers tape as they call it and use plenty of flux and keep the heat moving evenly. The joint looks like it...

Single Tier, 3 Pump, BCS-462, Automated Rig

I used 120v for my gas also and the 12vdc ball valves for the liguid side (7 total). The valves only use current when they are opening or closing so its more efficient and as a result the power supply can be smaller (mine was the 5A one). Worst case scenerio is to add up how much current they...

    Questions adding fruit to secondary

My question is how safe is it to add fruit to secondary? I mean what are chances of adding unwanted bacteria and creating a skunk beer? What are the consequences of adding the fruit at end of boil as to make sure it is sterile. Any thaughts on this one?

that sounds cool but that would be alot of beer and I feel I would not be able to drink that much to keep it going like that. I'd have to get all my friends over all the time to drink it. Hey wait that sounds fun too! PARTY!!!!

new system build and need input

I used the labview QUI to control and monitor the ignition process and the TC's that sense if a flame is present so if it doesn't lite then it shuts down the gas. Instead of buying a TC module for the PLC I found a PCI slot DAQ for a fraction of the price of the TC module that I installed in the...
