What about the copper coils for temp control. Ive seen a few pics here with that in there conicals. How would you use a cooling coil in it other than copper and who has a supplier?

I think its a matter of preference really. I prefer a positive pressure airlock to insure no added bacteria etc. Others feel that the leaky lid is sufficient for most brewing from what ive read on this blog. I have noticed that with the air tight seal and airlock my brew has better carbonation...

No i got racking port on side sorry forgot to tell you about my rack arm. Yes its about six inches up from bottom. You want it there so you got room for it any lower and it will hit the other side of cone wall.

The way i do it is ferment in conical to kegging. When you open bottom and let off the trub is same as racking beer to me. Thats the reason you get conical so you can concentrate trub to one point and remove it. I usually rack trub off 4 days into fermint then once a week until finished. Then...

Where are people getting stainless rack arm for this thing. Im looking for one that dont rotate. Any sugestions?

Got this one in the keg and it is somewhat hoppier than hoped and doesnt have that wheat notes it should have probably due to the grain that was missing. Its drinkable though gonna redo this one real soon and with all the grain this time

Well its done and in the keg. Taste is a little prickly peary and hoppy but has a nice red color even the head is pink. Definately drinkable next time ill make sure have all the grains when i brew it.

Well first beer will be coming out of the new conical this weekend and i have to say so far so good. I have had no problems with it yet. Ill put out the shopping list and pics for how i sealed it as soon as i get the beer out so look for it mid next week if your interested in sealing the thing.
