It looks like a cross between wild oats and cultivated oats. Wild oats are the bane of small grain producers on the northern plains. If kernza is as persistent as wild oats it could be problematic to incorporate into a crop rotation.

This could have any of a couple dozen labels on it and it wouldn’t raise any eyebrows-maybe not even those of the folks who brewed it. It’s as generic as an American Lager can be.
