What do you think of this brew pot?

I bought a converted 15gl keg from another brewer here in San Antonio. I found it on cragslist one day and called him up and picked it up. Paid 45 bucks for it. It is worth the cash. I am going to convert another keg once I pick one up. It doesn't look like it is hard to convert. Just have to...

    Rubbermaid 7 Gallon Cooler

I use a Rubbermaid 5 Gallon water cooler (same as the Gott). I has worked great for Partial Mash and full AG brewing. I had about 9 pounds of grain in the 5 gal cooler once. I say go for it. It should work for you. Just remember that with this joyous hobby once you brew a full AG and you really...

    Kegs smell of soda

I agree with the consensus about the cleaning and soaking. I used oxiclean and it seems to work great and it rinses off good also. You definitely want to change o-rings for the simple reason of sanitation, there relatively cheap and worth the investment. :p Bill

PM Question - Water per lb of grain

1.25 and 1.33 quarts of h2o per lb of grain is very close either way. I would venture to say go a little lower with the 1.25 q p/lb, this way you dont ever go over with to much water if your doing a 5 gal batch. I say this because I was brewing a beer with a friend and he kept going little over...

    AG Mild Ale

Thanks for the post, we'll see what happens from here. I'll give it the time. Like I said usually I get ferm quick this situation might be because of the type of beer being made and the short duration of the fermentation. We'll see Bill :drunk:
