    Prickly Pear Melomel questions

only advice i can add since ive JUST finished a pear melomel, is to add plenty of headspace in the carboy itself because fruit and fermentation = explosion of foam, sorry for lack of knowledge, sounds like a solid plan though, let us know with tasty updates.

    An Apple Mead?

sounds like a sweet cyser to me, seems tasty bro, however for 1 gallon batches (which is all i know) 4 pounds sounds super sweet, i keep mine around 3 since i like em sweet, might need a yeast that can handle a high alcoholic percentage, but should be good bro, skol.

    Dry Yeast BOMMs

hey dudes ! skol, sounds like fun , let us know how the results are , im interested in the BOMM technique as far as quickness and flavor are concerned, and whether it's worth it using an ale yeast, as i use the cookie cutter 1118 lalvin.

    Honey sank to bottom

first of all, thanks for brewing mead! for future reference you can set your carboy in your sink with hot water pouring around it before you pitch your yeast, then shake the dude for a while and it should all smooth and disolve in. skol
