Advice on Co2 splitting for Kegerator

Got it, thanks.... I believe I would still need a swivel nut to connect the exsisting red hose, which I will have to cut in two pieces. No?

Advice on Co2 splitting for Kegerator

It should be that exact Y splitter that is in your photo with the regulator. Yes, I believe the red hose is 5/16". A 5/16" barbed swivel nut (1/4 thread) will fit both the top of the splitter and the shut off valves? They really seem like they are different sizes, yet they are both 1/4 thread...

Advice on Co2 splitting for Kegerator

Thanks very much! You input definitely helped me understand what I needed (didn't even know about the washers). I think I may just return what I bought from the restaurant supply place... If I'm not mistaken, I should just be able to buy this(and the washers) and screw it right onto the shut...

Advice on Co2 splitting for Kegerator

To start, before I move on to a double tap, I just wanted to split my Co2 line so I can serve and carb at the same time. THe Co2 canister is located on the outside and what I want to do is split the line AFTER it is in the kegerator, rather than drill the hole out larger for a second line. My...

Same beer, two carboys, drastically different colors - Explanations?

Thanks Yooper - we're going to give the gelatin fining a go and see what happens. If it is an infection and the other is totally fine, I suppose the most likely culprit is the carboy as the same racking cane was used for both. Just wondering, it's typically much less likely to get an infection...

Same beer, two carboys, drastically different colors - Explanations?

Not only two beers with the same yeast, but really just ONE beer fermented all together and split into two different carboys for lagering. It was definitely the first time we have ever seen something like this happen so I figured it was worth getting some opinions. Thanks for the feedback...

Same beer, two carboys, drastically different colors - Explanations?

This I don't know. I wasn't there for the transfer... I'll ask my friend, but I doubt he would remember that far back which was which. What I do know is last year we used Wyeast 2000 Budvar, which is med-high flocculation... This year we subbed 2124 Bohemian Lager which is med-low. So maybe...

Same beer, two carboys, drastically different colors - Explanations?

This is actually the opposite though... The dark one on the left is nice and clear and in the tasting glass was about the shade I would expect for this Maibock. The one on the right is very cloudy. It really seems like suspended yeast. I couldn't put my finger on the twang - but my major...

Sagittarius Tripel - label and packaging

Thanks! Yes, I was very happy how they came out, both the beer and the packaging. Gave a few a way as gifts over the holidays... still have about 7 left. Trying to keep at least 1 or 2 for a year or more.

Sagittarius Tripel - label and packaging

Thanks much. I think custom hang tags could work on 12 oz. bottles without any additional wrapping. The 750ml bottles had just too much real estate to leave them plain.

Sagittarius Tripel - label and packaging

Rarely post on here, but I thought this was worth sharing... Brewed this tripel for my wife's 30th birthday, she's a Sagittarius obviously, hence the name and logo. Sagittarius is the archer for those of you who might not know, and I tossed in a heart to be all lovey dovely. Here is the...

Our new logo, what do you think?

I agree with cinderbike, show a little more of the blade at the bottom. Nice and clean logo otherwise, I like it. The repetition of circles is particularly nice.

    Belgian corking question

You should store them upright, just like if you bought a corked/caged Belgian from the store. There are a few factors that keep corks from drying out, one being that the beer inside has it's own humidity level. Think about it, the cork is like an inch away from liquid at all times, it's probably...
