    Keezer...now it's finished. What a great son!

Thanks. I had some rough cut red oak and milled it down. Red oak stain and a few coats of poly over the top. I thought I had a good idea of what i was getting into with home brewing and then I found this site... "dangerous" place.

    Keezer...now it's finished. What a great son!

Following the lead of many others here I put together my keezer. However, my oldest son thought it needed something else so he found the finishing touch for the keezer in keeping with the skiing we do. This is a beer house but I love the sign. I'm a fortunate man...an amazing wife who...

What tempursture do you serve at?

I've been playing with my temps as well and have achieved best results setting the controller @ 37-40. Have most @ 12psi and have a hefe @ 24psi. Going from 45 to the 37-40 dropped my pressure ~3psi keeping the same vol of co2.

    Keezer - Top or Front?

I went through the same decision process you are. I got a great deal on a 7.2 cu ft frigidaire featured in so many keezer builds. I wanted to be able have 4-5 kegs in their so that was one thing which drove me to a collar. Mtnrider's build. Besides the number of kegs, the other...

    Perlicks

When researching my keezer build I found a number of posts here and elsewhere about the threads on Perlick taps not lining up with threads on non-Perlick standard shanks. Most problems seemed to be tolerance issues when the Perlicks were mated to chrome plated shanks. Remedies most often...

Looking to purchase a brewing kettle...suggestions?

+1 for going with full boils. I'm relatively new to brewing. My first batch was an IPA using a partial boil like you reference. Before the second batch I bought a 10G SS kettle and decided to brew the same recipe again to see what difference there might be. It was a much improved beer with...

    What wood for keezer collar?

Good choice on the Red Oak. Like others I used a Love TS-13010 controller. I like how it looks mounted in the collar and it was straight forward to wire in and configure. There is also a lot of good doc here such as -TH-'s wiring diagram.

    Keezer collar joints help

I ended up using some oak I had sitting around and milled it to the same dimensions you're planning on. I mitered/biscuit joined the corners and used an angle plate on each inside corner to reinforce.

Converting the Frigidaire 7.2 cu ft Chest Freezer

:mug:Quaffer thanks for the inspiration and to all who've contributed wisdom allowing all of us to steal your ideas and clone your productions. The thread that's launched a 'thousand' keezers. I just started brewing in January 2012 and have 10x5 gallon extract batches through so far...
