Is it normal for Corny Kegs to leak?

+1 to everything said so far. Your kegs shouldn't leak, even if they're used. I have some really beat up kegs, and none of them leak. Definitely buy an O-ring replacement kit and switch out all the O-rings. It's easy to do, and cheap.

Force carbing in a corny keg

Daaaamn! I generally leave mine in primary/secondary for about 2-4 weeks. Don't usually start drinking a beer until about 6 weeks after the day I pitch. Am I being an idiot and waiting too long? I'm relatively new to the homebrewing thing (I think I've done about 15 five-gallon batches) and...

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

I'll be happy even with the chrome. These are cheaper than the crappiest generic faucets I can get locally ($32 + tax + shipping), and I would much rather have a chrome Perlick than a chrome standard.

I can't figure it out! Slow pour help.

Ten feet seems like a lot. I think I have mine around 6 feet, but I'm using picnic taps.

    Faucet Label Idea *pics*

Cool idea! I was thinking of using magnetic label holders for mine, but I haven't gotten to that stage yet.

Force carbing in a corny keg

Who can wait so long to sample their beer!? Your patience amazes me. Time factors are one of the main reasons I brew beer and not wine/mead. ...that said, most of my beers taste like a ripe ass for the first week or two that they're in the keg. 2-4 weeks of aging in the keg seems to be the...

Bottling or kegging: which produces the better results?

I prefer kegging, just because I'm a control freak and I like highly carbed beers. I never got good enough at bottling to reliably control carbonation, so my beers would end up either slightly too flat or slightly overcarbonated. Also one time I brewed some bottle bombs, and the wife wasn't...

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

I ordered Saturday evening, and I get Order Status: Order Processing when I check to see what's up. So far I've neither made nor gotten any calls, but I've gotten both a receipt (immediately after ordering) and an order confirmation (yesterday). I'm very hopeful about this one. I've...

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

Stop calling, dudes! The first rule of slick deals is never call!!! A lot of times the guys in the shipping departments don't know what things should cost, so mistakes can stay in the system for a long time before someone in management catches on. Calling just alerts them to a potential problem...

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

DANG that's a good price! Cheaper than the standard, non-stainless faucets I was considering. Because of the weird way the title of the product is worded I'm really worried that this will end up being just the shank assembly and not include the faucet... :( But at this price it's worth taking...
