    Stouts question

or, would my lack of hydrogen make it more prudent to bottle instead of keg this batch

    Stouts question

additionally, does anybody have a good chocolate milk stout that they would recommend. I'm a brew in a bag guy

    Stouts question

So I'm thinking about brewing a stout, maybe a chocolate milk stout or something like that. Are Stouts okay in a keg carbonated with CO2? I know that a lot of stout people say that you should use a nitrogen gas with Stouts but at this point in time buying a nitrogen tank and having a spout for...

This Saison is a stubborn brew... ???

I'll pop it up to 80 degrees when I get home and see what happens. I think it's done fermenting anyways but who knows. I mean am I really going to reactivate the yeast at this point anyways?

This Saison is a stubborn brew... ???

I tried the gravity sample and it wasn't too awful bad. It tastes like a Saison. It's going to be a little low on the ABV and it's got some off flavors in it but it's not terrible. I can drink it LOL I've got an Amber that I've brought up to 71 to let the yeast clean up after itself and then...

This Saison is a stubborn brew... ???

I raise the temperature up to 75 degrees a couple days ago with my heating pad wrapped around it. They're still there. Will cold crashing it drop them out of suspension?

This Saison is a stubborn brew... ???

It was bad... like 1.03. I had issues with my thermometer (which didnt survive the flight across the kitchen) and messed up the partial mash temp

This Saison is a stubborn brew... ???

Ok so... i brewed a Brewers Best Belgian Saison partial mash kit back on Feb 11th... Went into the fermenter and sat around 67 or 68 for aboit 7 days. Airlock activity stopped and the krausen fell (it never really got very thick... never over an inch that i saw). I believe i was pretty low on...

    Morebeer FerMonster

What kind of wood did you use? I'm sure the lumber store or Lowe's or Home Depot or wherever I go will cut the wood for me

    Morebeer FerMonster

I love my Fermonsters aside from the fact i can't find a mini fridge big enough to ferment in

    What the....

Been to Barley Hopsters a few times... nice little place. Cheers!

    What the....

The OG on that beer was really low so I'm really not surprised that it looks terrible. I think I butchered that batch. It's not really fermenting much at all. It looks like an elevator... Sediment goes up, sediment goes down... not a whole lot of action going on. The krausen is really small like...

    Bottle conditioning question...

I'm not in any kind of hurry really, I'll just drink the 12 ounce bottles first. By the time I get through those the bombers should be conditioned. Thanks for the tip!
