Right now i'm drinking Breakaway IPA - American Brewing Company in Edmonds, WA. I bought a 50 liter keg from them and I have it on tap in my kegerator, and let me tell you boys...it's soooo goooood! Skip Madsen is the head brewer at ABC - former head brewer at Boundary Bay in Bellingham...

he told me it was a soft wood, but i don't know what kind. now he's working on harder wood...we'll see what he comes up with next.

a friend of mine is a novice wood carver and volunteered (was drafted) to carve some tap handles for my kegerator. :ban: second tap is obviously a Boundary Bay IPA handle.... and that's not all - he has promised more handles are on the way. :mug:

i just bought a cheap thermometer and put it inside. then i adjusted the temp up or down to get 38 degrees. done.

yeah, there was some negative stuff being said about these guys recently, so i thought i'd share the positive stuff i experienced. i recently ordered (4) Perlick 525 SS's and some black plastic handles (to put on the old faucets when i sell them) through their website. i paid with Paypal...

geez folks... is Pliny the Younger really worth the Rock Star treatment it's getting? i hear they are shipping a couple of sixtels up to the Seattle area. (yes, when they say kegs they mean sixtels). the word is out, and people around here are rushing out to taste this magical elixer...

worst commercial beer? geez, they all taste pretty much like water, so what's not to like? on a hot summer day they all drink pretty easy. the worst beer i've ever tried was from a small brewery in Washington - it was a smoky porter. blech! don't want to say the name of the brewery or...

i'm sure that lots of members are wondering....can you please catch us up on the surgery, etc? or did i miss the update???
