    Fermentation problem... WTF mate???

Gravity-wise there probably isn't much more to go, but if you are still getting airlock bubbles every 15 seconds on Saturday, I would wait to be on the safe side.

    Another Coopers Problem

I wouldn't give up on it yet. If the gravity gets down to .01, I think that you'd still have roughtly 4% alcohol.:mug:

    Dead Yeast?

I'm a beginner, but maybe I can be of help. How many hours did you see active fermentation? What temperature did you pitch the yeast at? From what I've read on here, the airlock isn't the best sign of fermentation. I would give it until Friday and then take a hydrometer reading. Take...

Mini-mash Recipe for Sam Adams Ale

Last night I started one based on a recommendation from the guy at my LHBS. Its a can of the John Bull Amber Extract, 1 oz of cascade hops, and I'm using California Ale Yeast. It looked a little darker than I expected, but we'll see. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    First Batch - Bottling questions

Thanks for the response! I wanted to make it as simple as possible, so I got those Coopers carbonation drops and used those. I'm bottle conditioning at 70 degrees. Did your whole first batch have that type of taste or just the first few bottles? Thanks!

    First Batch - Bottling questions

Hi All, So for my first batch I tried a Coopers Dark Ale, using malt and not sugar and dry yeast (unfortunately). It started bubbling within 18 hours but stopped completely two and a half days after that. I gave the fermentor a slight swirl, and it bubbled again for half a day then stopped...
