    Sediment and flakes in bottles

I always use a secondary for a week to help remove the floaters. I also use a funnel with a screen or just a screen will work, to remove it while transfering from the fermentor to the bottling bucket. :cross:

    Liquid or Dry Malt Extract

I am about to brew an Irish Red Ale and the ingredients call for 5 lbs. Briess amber malt extract syrup. I did a search on-line and the only amount available is a 3.3 lb. can. I don't want to order two cans if I’m not going to use it all in one batch. Can LME be stored? Can I...

    Bottle Sanitizing

What is the best and easiest was to sanitize bottles prior to racking? I just washed 60+ bottles and it was time consuming. The bottle jet helped a bit. I hope there is a simple way to sanitize on racking day?

    Sam Adams Triple bock

I have tried the SA triple bock once. One sip was all I needed. It has been in the fridge now for about a year. I think I may be able to use it as a good wood stain this spring.:(

I was just in Madison two weeks ago for a class at the University. During my free time I found the local brew called Spotted Cow. Good Stuff!! If you can find a clone I would love to try it.

New to Brew(ing) in Ottawa, IL

Well, I posted this once, but in the wrong thread. Must have had one too many at the time. I am new to the world of home brews, just started to brew my own in December. I started with the Mr. Beer Premium kit and now have two fermenters going. Now I am thinking of expanding my hobby to...
