The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I don't really understand what could be leaking from the right fan. If you open up the casing, do you see something wet? Next to the right fan is the compressor itself, the glycol tank is pretty much in the center and the pumps are on sitting on the bottom left side of the casing.

I can guarantee you that no, the unit isn't running in the video.

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

It's the compressor, not the fan that makes the most noise out of the unit. Even if you take out the rattling issue, which is so bad on my unit. Any of you with the ratlling issue have been contacted since they furst contacted us to loosen 2 screws? This didn't help at all in my case. Since...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

So, did you have the chance to test the Blichmann unit yet? I'm really curious about the difference in noise level. Thanks,

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

Oh I see. So an AC that would be able to cool from 90f to 89f in summer would be perfectly fine and acceptable. Great thinking my friend.

are you saying that "cool" is quantifiable?

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I'll repeat myself again, they advertised the unit as "quiet during operation" in the kickstarter campain. No matter what your definition of quiet is, this unit doesn't fall into the "quiet" category. It just can't be marketed as such.

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

Hi guys, I have to share something positive about the stasis. When I first did my initial testing to see how cold my fermenter could go, I din't take into account the volume of glycol mixture used in the coil. I was able to achieve roughly 40 ishh farenheit. Since then, I brew 2 batches and one...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

Do you guys think something like could help soundproofing the Stasis? This will obviously won't do any difference for the fan noise, but still, if it helps for the compressor noise it generates that could be an option. I'm not sur about the dimension though...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I hear you totally, I too have the compressor noise and fan noise. But if they can fix the rattling noise, that would be one out of three. I am puzzling as to how to minimise the noise of the compressor. I have bought form amazon some dampening pads that I put under the feet of the the unit. It...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

In all transparency, CraftaBrew contacted me to say that they are working on a more permanent solution for the rattling noise. That's nice to know. Cheers!

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

To some who still think I am bitching, I am not. I am happy so far with the cooling capability, the aesthetic, the simplicity of control, but it's the noise it makes that drives me nuts. I think I am not alone anyway. Anyhow, I haven't heard anything from support yet, but as soon as I do, I will...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I am bitching? Wow! that's a strong statement. I am only stating the facts here and trying to share my experience in all transparency. You want me to hide things up? I don't think it will help anyone, craft a brew folks included. I don't think we have the same definition for bitching...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I had the same message and tried to loosen the 2 screws as explained, 1/4 turn at a time, but it didn't do much. I tried several configurations and the vibration/oosciallating noise never went away. Anyway, I contacted them again and will asking if they know the exact point of vibration to see...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I think he was referring to the lagering phase of a lager, not the fermenting. Lagering should indeed be done near freezing.

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

On a positive note though, I have both an ale and a lager fermenting right now. Temperature is well maintained on both fermenters. Only complain so far is the excessive noise, which should be addressed by craft a brew. As for the cold crash not getting below 40f, I think I can live with that...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

The glycol itself is supposedly maintained at 30f in the reservoir. The 36f limit is for the fermenter temperature. In practice though, I wasn't able to go lower than 40f ishh.

That's the lowest I was able to get too. I tested on both my SS brewtech regular chronical 7 gallon and 7 gallon unitank.
