Do you have the stc-1000 hooked up to an outlet in a project box or do you just have it wired to the your freezer

What potentiometer to use for my stir plate

Correct with the pot at wide open (no resistance) and a 5v power supply it seemed to move way to slowly. Now I've got a 15v power supply and the 25 ohm (full resistance) is still too fast. It looks like I'm just going to have to buck up and pay $5 shipping on a $2 pot to get a 100 Ohm

What potentiometer to use for my stir plate

I had a 5v power supply and it seemed way too weak. I could stop the fan very easily by just nudging a blade. Maybe I'm expecting it to spin faster then it should? This fan is also a 12v fan, is that what everybody else is using?

What potentiometer to use for my stir plate

Has anyone else used a pot with a 15v power source

What potentiometer to use for my stir plate

My problem was I tried to use a 5v Power supply from an old cell phone charger and it seemed too weak. How much of a resistance do you think I would need?

What potentiometer to use for my stir plate

I've been reading for awhile but this is my first post. I'm making my stir plate and Ive got everything hooked up except for my potentiometer. I accidently bought a 100k Ohm pot from the shack and that was obviously way too strong and essentially worked as an on/off switch and then I replaced it...

    Stainless Steel Dip Tube

That was nothing on you Bobby. In fact your stuff looks really nice I guess its just the principal of the idea and the fact that I'm cheap. I'll PM you about that offer though, thanks.

    Stainless Steel Dip Tube

The closest thing I have would be a conduit bender but I don't think that will bend it properly

    Stainless Steel Dip Tube

Yeah I've been looking at there 5/8" dip tube but I just have a hard time paying over $20 for a bent tube and fitiing. I was hoping someone would have one laying around but that doesn't seem to be the case haha

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

I could buy another 12x12 screen but how important would it be to match the "thread count" for the top and bottom of a square

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

The wire would definitely be appreciated. The only problem with the mesh is that I was hoping to start with a 12x12 square thats already folded (fold a 12x24 in half). With your experience with these hop screens do you think a 12x6 rectangle will be enough surface area to keep from clogging...

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

Haha I appreciate it. You wouldn't by chance have a stainless steel dip tube would you? I think I'm just going to have to buck up and buy one off of BrewHardware. I just have a hard time buying a bent piece of tubing with a fitting on the end for $20+ but I guess that's because its not the...

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

I made a hop spider (or whatever you want to call the things with three legs, 4" pvc coupler and a 5 gallon paint striner bag) but that isn't really going to help me keep hot break out of my plate chiller. Where in IL are you? If by some chance we are close I might be able to meet you somewhere

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

Unfortunately I don't know any trout fishing men around here. most of fishing I do around here is for bass and crappie. Do we have any trout fisherman on here that might be willing to send me some stainless steel wire?

Stainless steel mesh and/or stainless steel wire

I'm looking to make a hop/hot break screen to protect my newly acquired plate chiller and was wondering if anyone who DIYed there own would have some extra material that I could buy off them. Or if anyone has a hop/hot break screen that they are looking to sell. Thanks.

    Stainless Steel Dip Tube

I just bought a plate chiller so I'm going to be making my own hop/hot break screen out of some stainless steel mesh but I'd rather not use a copper dip tube because all of my other fittings are stainless. My kettle has a welded 1/2“ NPT coupling so I'm not looking for a weldless bulkhead. Can...
