    Stuck on First Kegged Brew, Liquid QD won't connect

    When i replaced my poppets with 'universal' poppets i could no longer get my liquid side connector on. Took the poppet out, cut about a 1/4 inch off the BOTTOM of the spring and reinstalled. everything was groovy after that.

    Pump - Is it really worthwhile?

    Can you easily lift a keg with hot wort in it? . . . no, get a pump . .. . yes, get a pump it's way easier. I understand that lifting is not necessary if proper preparation is applied, but I always found myself lifting hot, heavy kettles. Now I let the tool do the work.

    if caked of good/filled in, apply heat. put face down on top of another burner or fire. Cleanest i've ever gotten my Burner.

    I would naturally carb in your kegs (sugar prime). Your kegs will be sitting anyway, plenty of time to properly condition, and you can easily adjust carb levels with gas day before wedding. Doing a test run is sound advice.
