    Gravity Question??

Checked my beer today and it was reading 1.014. Last week it was 1.015. Terminal on the recipe states that it should be 1.012. Its already in a secondary. Should I wait another week or so to bottle?? Opinions please...............:rockin:

    Sedex sediment caps

Anybody use these sediment caps? Sed-Ex Brewing, Home brewing, Home brew supplies The look like they would work pretty good.....I watched a video on youtube about them also. The only drawback I can see is you can only get them from Australia and it cost over $60 to ship them here. A cost...

    Magic Hat #9

Brew has been in the primary for about a week. Checked the grvity today and it was reading 1.020 at 70 degrees. Terminal says its 1.012. Should I give it about a week and then check it and put it into secondary??

Need a little advice on my next step........

Brewing up a batch of Magic Hat #9 clone. It has been in the primary for about 3 days, bubbling is start to slow down significantly, so should I test it and see where I am or give it some more time and then test it.

Added all the water during the boil, Is my brew scewed?

Yeah the recipe called for 3 gallon boil, and the top off to 5 in the primary. I had a 5 gallon boil and tpped off a little bit in the primary to bring it up to 5. Sounds like this will be ok. Thanks for the help. This forum is awesome. :ban:

Added all the water during the boil, Is my brew scewed?

I got a little confused with the recipe I chose on my first brew, (Magic Hat #9 clone), and added all the water during the boil. Is my beer OK or is it toilet water?? Its in the primary and bubbling quite well. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Good Beginners kit

Hello everyone, been doing a lot of research on this subject and would love some your opinions on where and what beginners kit would be a good choice for me to start home brewing? Thinking of spending 150 to 200 dollars. Once again thanks for the input and I am very excited to get started.
