    Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

    Brewed this up last night. (extract version). I did add the candy at the beginning of the boil, (didn't see the thread saying to add it in at the last 10min until today :( ). but hit an OG of 1.084 The wort tasted pretty good.. looking forward to seeing how it progresses :)

    Going on second ever batch.. and I'm going to try a Tripel

    Perhaps secondary after 2 weeks, (but personal preference is to only secondary is you are adding in extra fruits or hops.), wait 2-3 weeks then bottle for however long it takes..

    So who's brewing this weekend?

    Brewing the White House honey ale on Sunday, along with a honey/orange mead. Moving one of the IPA's to cold crashing tonight so hopefully i can bottle that up while waiting on the water to boil.

    After looking at that picture, i would soak the keg for at least a month with multiple clean cycles of water before putting in more golden nectar. I can just imagine the gag reflexes.

    Is it possible to add canned pumpkin directly into the bottling bucket?

    I'm still pretty new at this, but i believe that all the sugars, etc need to ferment before bottling.. plus how can you really be sure that the canned pumpkin is truly sanitized with out introducing it into the boil? Now if you were using a real pumpkin, then i imagine you could bake it and...

    Brewed up a centennial IPA yesterday, this morning I moved the other dogfish clone into the secondary to dry hop. Next weekend i get to bottle the lager :)

    Air lock/smell of fermenting brew

    I love the smell of an active fermentation, especially when a nice hoppy IPA is in the carboy, sometimes it takes a struggle for me to leave the room.
