I'm thinking the quick answer would be no...the guys who got distribution rights from iMake are from NS...a chain called Noble Grape. They've got fairly deep pockets and also control Festa distribution. By and large, a good business to deal with.

Yes, TT...that's exactly what to do...and the angle of the dangle. Apparently another poster knows of some seller named "Brothaconda" who resells used Grainfathers with this nonissue worked out [emoji13] Everyone else just reads the advice and info that's out there.

I've bought trains, planes, automobiles on eBay...well autos and motorcycles and everything in between. I've never been ripped but mostly shop Amazon now. As for the GF, I'd likely buy from a local distributor if the price was in the ballpark. I wouldn't want shiny things dinged up.

$75 USD...I hope you're right but I'm thinking it's a case of "wishful drinking". A multi platform upgrade kit (Grainfather is one of a few)in Europe is out and it's around $300. I'm definitely not interested in it, but if the Grainfolk people offered one for under say $150 USD, I might be...

Excellent response and states everything I feel and could've should've would've...said. Enjoy your Memorial weekend next as much as us on this side of the line will do for our Vicky Weekend :-)

I knew that...or at least suspected as much...I just hope to **** they don't say oh it's a $300 upgrade path...give the early adopters who built their base a break.

I wouldn't worry about it, as the same can be said about anything these days, cars, computers, phones etc. The only thing I see them changing is the simple controller to one more programmable. There likely will be an upgrade path for that. Other than that, jump in because you're missing way too...

You don't...but I like the consistency and relative control my GF sparge water heater provides. I had other ways - my kettle I used for propane partials...GF SS fermentor vessel with heatstick etc. I priced a large coffee urn but the GF heater was only around $40 more...I figured in for a...

I agree SB...and I just scored a mint Danby kegerator w/ 2 x 20 lb. gas bottles...bringing my collection to three...time for one to go and it looks like it's the biggest (and likely best)...my True TDD1 commercial...

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't had any stuck sparge issues yet but certainly will take your "exbeerience" into consideration. :-)

    Grainfather!!

I'm on the east coast and use mine in the kitchen beneath the hood. That being said, I don't find that the boil releases copious amounts of steam. My ceiling is 8' and I do run the range fan but not really sure if it is removing any great deal of potential condensation. All my brews have been...

Please tell me any advantages of the micropipework. None of my beers likely will be less than 10 lbs. - if anything I'd want to increase capacity and output. I guess if you wanted beer less than 5% or doing small batches perhaps? Other than that, I'm not sure why it's a great accessory.
