What was I thinking 2 years ago?

+1 Aliens do this all the time. Something about a hop shortage on their home world....

    Initial equipment order advice

I think you might be happy with just two BBs in the long run.... but who knows maybe you'll upgrade and become a master brewer! :rockin: I vote St. Paul Porter. I think a dark beer would be fun to watch ferment. I'm gonna do a stout for my fourth batch. I don't think I've ever felt...

    Initial equipment order advice

Well, this will be a case of the blind leading the blind, 'cause I'm certainly an uber-n00b. I do believe that you can move most of your beers into a secondary fermenter after a week. So yes, theoretically you could have a new batch every week. You might run into problems if you wanted to age...

    Initial equipment order advice

Yep, I went with two primaries and two secondaries. More production capacity! :ban: I kinda figured it was something like that, but just wanted to point it out just in case.

    Initial equipment order advice

Just ordered about the same amount of stuff for my startup. Wish I had submitted my list for scrutiny first. Good idea. It lists "bottle capper" twice.... should it?

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Wow... the yeasties must love cherries, I'm guessing! I've heard way too many horror stories about that crazy krausen. I think I'm always gonna start new fermenters with blow-off tubes.

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

How do you know? :D (I'm not big on fruity beers... might try a coffee stout or something similar though)

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Awesome guys. Thanks so much for the advice! I decided to go with two more 6.5 glass carboys. (I like to watch:D) Don't worry, I've now hidden the credit card from myself. :o

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Yeah, this is what originally I wanted to do, but after reading the following statement in another thread: I had second thoughts.

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Probably the wisest decision considering that I've already spent too much... Thanks! How many brews you got under your belt so far? lol... Eddie Izzard is the man! As well as being an executive transvestite.

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Definitely another option to consider. Thanks! ...and yet another option: Cake or Death?

    5 Gallon main fermenter?

Thought I had researched my new hobby pretty well, but alas... I made my first n00b mistake before my first brew. I purchased two 5 gallon glass carboys from morebeer.com thinking the standard 5 gallons of wort would naturally need a 5 gallon home.... oops :( I'm weighing the pros and...
