    4.42 gallons American Amber Used the "Tasty Brew" priming calculator using an estimate (at the time) of 4.8 gallons. It suggested 4.4 ounces of corn sugar. I added as much. Now I know it is 0.4 ounces more than the calculator said I should have used. Will my bottled beers be gushers...

    Are you using oxyclean? A 30 minute soak in oxyclean and hot water is pretty damn effective even without much scrubbing. [Edit: I didn't read your post carefully enough, but the suggestion still stands.]

    Was it a dry yeast or liquid? You should be ok, especially if it was a dry yeast. How is your blow-off tube set up? Your beer should be fine, just sanitize the tube and stick it back in. FYI: this is n00b advice

    You can use primary sized better bottles for secondary, but it's much trickier to use secondary sized (5g) bottles for primary fermentation. At this point I would go for all primaries.... (1,2, or 3?). With 3 you could leave each beer in primary for 3 weeks before bottling, and still be able...
