Okay thanks! Quick question for when I buy my sanitizer. When I buy my sanitizer, should I sanitize first and then use easy cleaner, so that the yeast nutrient doesn't get dumped out with the starsan? Thanks.

It has some white residue, but I read that is normal... I guess I will just start adding the juice.

okay also Do I wait for it to dry before adding my juices? And I shouldn't be worried aobut the tiny white spots on the sides which are probably starsan residue? Or should I rinse it out anyway? Thanks.

yeah I have campden tablets, but I don't add that until a few weeks in when I switch carboys I think.

Okay well do you think I will be okay using easyclean just this once as my sanitizer? I don't have starsan, because the guy at my LHBS told me to get easy clean instead (when I probably need both). Will I be okay do you think? Also I am making cider, so while sensitization is important, it isn't...

That's why I asked sort of... I asked for a sanitizer at lhbs and he gave me this... I hope your wrong ;(. Are there any easy sanitizers I can pick up locally?

I have spoken with some people on here who have had success getting free buckets from the local bakery. I have gotten several, but am not sure what the best way to clean them is? I have only cleaned with water thus far, but they still smell strongly of icing. How would you recommend cleaning...

If i leave it into long will it mess up my better bottle? I don't want to do this... Can I most likely just skip the hot water and start sanitizing?

So Can I just use one of the lids that came with my buckets instead of a towel? They seem like good lids (they have a rubber seal). Thanks for all of your advice. Looks like I won't be poisoning myself with these buckets ;)

Yah buckets are nice and cheap :). I suppose I am going to use them hopefully they don't leech poisons :cross:.
