    washing bottles

Straight A or OxyClean. I guess basically the same thing. Best cleanser and label peeler I have ever worked with. Very quick label peeling results, just make sure you rinse well. Follow the easy instructions on the label on the bag of Straight A... Super easy.. Rinse well..

7.2 cu ft Magic Chef Chest Freezer

I had thought of taking a picture but just wanted to get the damn thing off the roof of the car. What my friend is referring too is how I was too cheap to rent the truck so I had one my employees come with to Home Depot and we used that binding twine to wrap the huge box to the top of my...

7.2 cu ft Magic Chef Chest Freezer

Most likely was just a local deal that I was lucky to stumble into. But this afternoon I walked into Home Depot to get some simple green and heavy duty trash bags and respirators and I took a peek in the appliance aisle as I always do. Magic Chef 7.2 cu ft Chest Freezer item # 539-355 (as...

lme to dme conversion help needed

If you want to make it interesting, just use 6 pounds DME. It will add ABV to the recipe but shouldnt effect the taste. It will add more fermentables and make stronger beer. I brewed 15 gallons of raspberry wheat this summer and it came out to be about 7% ABV and it was delicious and everyone...

So who wants to help me cure my lack of knowledge about brewing beer?? :)

a friend of mine cant brew at his place becuase he is not allowed to use gas powered devices on his back porch. he could do partial boil extract kits on his kitchen stove... but as you learn just a little more, you end up wanting a turkey fryer to make it easier to boil 6gallons of water at a...

    Mess up already?

All the extract kits I used to do said put the grains in as the water is heating up. When the temp reaches 160 steep for 20 min while keeping the temp at 160. Drip drain bag thoroughly (dont squeeze), raise temp and add extract and hops at boil. You'll be fine. Stirring is good.

    10# vs 20# CO2

good stuff, thanks gentlemen the one problemn is that the keezer hasnt been purchased yet.. so i am using the landlord's fridge to get two on tap asap. if i go with the 20# right away, i will have to cut a hole somehow somewhere... or maybe just one on tap and the 20# next to it and...

    10# vs 20# CO2

I see that 10# CO2 is the 'norm' for homebrewers.. Cheapest I can find in town is $100 filled. The wholesale welding shop down the street will sell me 20# filled for $82. my friend says they are very heavy and cumbersome, and I will def have to drill a hole in the fridge/keezer, which i...
