    In need of good thermometer

Thermapen can also be used for cooking as well, want a consistent medium rare perfectly cooked steak every time? Thermapen allows you to cook that! Bought mine for competition BBQ and use it ALL the time at home as well!!

Made a bit of progress last night. Got my collar built! Next I will be attaching it to the top of my freezer with silicone and using the previous attachment points for the lid. Then I will wire up the internal outlet, mount the fans, build the platform for the deep portion and reattach the lid...

    Sub 1.030 beers

Ok, I didn't read through the whole thread as I'm at work, but I did search on "IPA" and didn't get any hits. Would love to do a low ABV IPA at some point for the wife who loves IPA's but can only handle a couple before she is pretty lit. This would need to be an extract recipe as I am not...

I still need to finish the fans wiring. Here are the pics: Last night I got 50' of 3/8" OD copper, will be using that to build my chiller. Also got a drill powered paint mixer for aeration. Lastly the 2x12 to build my collar. Ordered my kettle and three new kits as well last night. I also...

    Quick Kettle question

First kettle buy, will be ordering today to save on shipping from NB with their kit sale. Plan on doing 5gal extract batches. 8 or 10 gal kettle? MegaPot or Tall Boy? Seems that they are the same kettle, with rubber grips on the MegaPot. Don't plan on getting a ball valve or thermometer...
