TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I'm trying to create an account at tiltbridge. I filled in the sign-up portion and it said it sent me an email to confirm the address, but I never got one. I tried to just sign in, but it said the email had not been confirmed yet. I tried to reset the password, and it said it sent me an email...

    Adjustable Bed & Snoring

We have an adjustable bed and it really didn't do anything for snoring - mine or my wife's. We both use the SnoreRX - similar to the Zyppah MrClint above mentions. Works great! Takes a little getting used to and the instructions for molding it to your teeth can be a bit confusing, but still...

    Bottle washer/sprayer

Looks really nice. Very convenient since you can do other things while the bottles are washing. But at ~$450 USD, way out of my price range! I have a vinator and bottle tree but got tired of doing the bottles one-by-one so I got a FastWasher. It's convenient and you can wash up to 24 bottles at...

    Wanting to try BIAB

You don't even need to do full-volume for BIAB. Look up the Palmer method. When I did BIAB, I used 1.25 quarts of water for each pound of grain (if i remember correctly!). You might need a little more water depending on mash thickness. Mash with that, then put the bag in a strainer over the...

    Fast washer broken part

Others have posted about this very same issue. It hasn't happened on mine, though what has happened is that all the little nuts an bolts have to be tightened each time you use it. This has caused some of them to crack the plastic and leak. I contacted the company a couple of times and never got...

    Counterflow Chiller question

I have the one that came with my Grainfather. After chilling, I run PBW through it, then some clear water, then some Starsan. I store it up high so all the tubes hang and let them drain into a bucket. The night before brewing, or early that day, I'll run a little more Starsan and watch what...

A word of warning about the FastWasher24 Bottle washing system from FastBrewing.com

Well, that sucks! Like you need me to tell you... :) I've not had that problem with mine, but I'll certainly be sure to watch for it! Thanks for the heads up!

    Counterflow Chiller Methods

I use a similar method, though I brew in my kitchen. I fill my sink with water and re-usable ice packs and use a submersible pump. I let the faucet run at the same rate as the pump so there is always a supply of cold water. I have the hot water return back down the drain (I modified the drain...

Should I at least have sprouts by now?

Yes, I think that is what happened. I dug one up the other day and it was completely soaked - the pots hadn't drained properly over the winter. Live and learn! I have new plants and a raised bed kit waiting for me at home!

Should I at least have sprouts by now?

Hi! This is my second year trying to grow hops. I was pretty happy with how they turned out last year - not many hops, but all grew taller than me, which is what I expected. I have them in large pots that get a good amount of afternoon sun, water and fertilized. I live in the Syracuse area...

    Heat mats

I'm currently using and Inkbird controller with one of their heat mats inside a Cool Brewing fermentation bag. The heat mat is strapped to the side of the fermenter (big mouth bubbler, 5gal). This works great in my garage which gets down below 20f. The set up keeps the beer between 31f and 35f...

    CO2 cartridges for purging

Hi All, I don't keg my beer due to not having the space for it. I would like, however, to use CO2 to purge a carboy to prep it for lagering. I would rather not buy a big CO2 cannister - again, due to space and cost, especially since I don't keg. My questions is: Can I use a CO2 cartridge and...

Big Mouth Bubbler lid - yet another solution, maybe the easiest

I have the carrying strap for the Big Mouth. It flips over the top and locks down and keeps the lid from popping up It also has a hole so the airlock fits as well. And you can use it to carry the thing around as well. Works just fine...
