I can't get my wort to come back to a boil. I just keep waiting and waiting and waiting... my husband just told me I wasn't patient enough to brew beer. :(

Nope. Really shouldn't need to. I've used vodka before to do herbal extracts and if you heat the vodka you'll remove some of the alcohol and that is what pulls out the oils in the herbs.
