    Spare Bedroom Equipment Tomfoolery

I think this is exactly what I am going for. All about keeping the beautiful lady of the house happy...that is my goal too.

    Spare Bedroom Equipment Tomfoolery

My stuff started in the corner of a spare room...it is now enveloping the room.

    Spare Bedroom Equipment Tomfoolery

I was going heavy on the sarcasm. Oh well...I like the brewcart idea.

What craft beer do you secretly despise?

Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter...I was excited to try it, I was sad I did.

    Highest ABV?

14% when I was making a Hopslam Clone (Bell's Brewery). Sweet and hoppy.

cleaning a hard to clean used corny keg

I used PBW last night on the two used kegs I received. It worked amazingly. I was really impressed with the strength and ease of use.

    Spare Bedroom Equipment Tomfoolery

After a very precise and clear title like that, I don't think there is any need for further explanation. But for those of you who don't get what this thread is about, here it is: I am storing on my equipment in/around a table in a spare bedroom. What have you done to make the storage of...

How much does home brewing cost?

My wife found the new kegs I ordered this weekend. One was brand new. I explained that the new one was for her soda because she would hate using a used keg. She is pumped about the new keg and is wondering if we are going to need a bigger kreezer than planned. This may turn out well.

    Making the jump to kegging

I did something very similar except I went straight to the 5 lb CO2. Otherwise, I have the picnic tap as well. Also, I have a outdoor fridge which is pretty much for beer. I am going to build a shelf into the bottom of it to hold up my kegs. I am hoping for my fall project to be putting...

Airlock only active for 48 hours

Sounds like everything went off well. You will usually see bubbling in the first few days, then it stops. Nothing to worry about...it is still working, just not producing as much CO2.

    Used 2.5 Gallon Keg

I would love to find a 2.5 Gallon Keg, Ball Locks, with rubber handles. 2 would be great...1 would be all I need to start the next project. If you have one laying around that you just don't use...PM me.

    Newbie questions

I was thinking of the way my grandma did it. She did it with apple cider though...something like this. 1 Gallon Milk Jug Tea with Sugar Neutral Yeast

How much does home brewing cost?

In all honesty, it is a hobby. Entry is low and you can take it where you want. You can make a very good beer using very little equipment. $100 is about the price to get your starting equipment.

How much does home brewing cost?

Entry fee to the home brewing park is about $100. You can stay there for a good long time. Then you want to have a couple going at the same time. $50-$75 later, you have 2 extract/grain going at the same time. About that time you decide all grain would be much more fun. $250 dollars later...

    Bourbon county!

Room temp. I have them in closets around the house.

    Bourbon county!

I have Bourbon Counties hidden all over my house. I run into them every now and then. I keep them aging. The older they get, the better they get. I have a 4 pack sitting around that is 3 years old since I bought it. Means the beer is 8 years old.

    Staying Healthy while Brewing

Protein Protein Protein...then lift, 3 times a week and cardio 2. 6 meals a day is great for a male. Watch your portions. A cup of veggies, 3 - 4 oz of protein, and 3/4 a cup of carbs and you are on your way. Use olive oil to cook and don't cover your food with creams and sauces. I will...

What do you do with your beer?

Brew and Wine Hobby was amazing. I don't feel like the service is there anymore. It is far better than Beer and Wine Makers Warehouse. That is where I use to get my supplies. I keep wanting to see their all grain brew day (brew and wine hobby).
