    Show us your bar!!!!!

Here is my new set up using walnut I cut 30 years ago. The funny thing behind the bar is a glass rinser using two kegs and CO2 to drive it. The keezer has a real still head on it to serve beer. It is insulated and divides so cold air is sucked from Keezer bottom and across the tap shanks and...

    Mini keg experience

I built my own from commercial stainless steel and tig welded it up .. It has CO2 from a bike tube filler and gets bursts as needed. I keg it at 2.4 volumes and use a air filler hooked to CO2 to fill it up after I keg with foam coming out. Serves 16 bottles worth. Sadly I moved up to...

    Drying beverage hoses

I use star san in the tubes and then drain it out. I think the acid stops mold from growing in there. This is why I do not do final rinse with water.

    low quality bottle caps

I use a capper on a stand and note two things... Here in Canada we get two tops: twist off and the regular tops. Next ... check your rubber under the capper head. Is it worn or too hard??? I always double cap. I lift caper up and turn the bottle 1/4 turn or so and redo it. I also take the...

Historical Beer: Kentucky Common "Kiss Yer Cousin" Rye Kentucky Common Ale

I brewed this baby today but could only find dark Rye Flour stone ground so I added rice hulls with the flaked corn and this flour.. Almost a stuck sparge. Slow to flow... I ended up with 5.5 gallons so I could have boiled it down some more to hit numbers better.. Can't wait to get a taste of...
