    Corny keg fermenting

I ferment in a 10 gallon corny, I have boiled water stored in 1/2 gallon growlers. I clean and sanitize the top of the corny, depending on how much yeast I want to save, I will add the clean water, seal up the keg and give it a good shaking. I then pout the slurry into the now empty...

What beer style only gets better with age?

I just bottles off a Barley wine that I had kegged since May 2015. It is wonderful. Just had a bottle of 2014 RIS, Fantastic. Have a new batch of RIS going, Still in Primary but down to .024 and to taste it will make your skin crawl. Age is the difference.

    Corny keg fermenting

I had a club member give me a 10 gallon Corny keg, It holds a little over 11 gallons. I use this as my fermenter for big beer as well a 10 gallon brews. I did shorten the long dip tube about 1/2 inch. For a blow off tube, I just hook the gas connector. Works great.

One thing I always do is check for leaks. I use Star San but also the bubble soap kids use. Every time I make a change, I check for leaks, Why do I do this, Well lets say I learned the hard way.

    Brew Boss Systems

Using the Brew Boss with the false bottom, The false bottom is just used to brew with the brew bad, to keep the bag away from the heating element. So you either use the Brew bag with false bottom or the COFI system. Hope this helps.

I also just got my Dip Tube. I have been using the sight glass and pump was struggling. When I tested the dip tube, I decided to remove the sight glass. What a difference. Has anyone else had this experience? I am going to look at having another hole added to my kettle.
