    Easy Peasy Pear

Agreed, short of force carbing not much you can do except keep it warm. My last batch of this did not carb at all. That said, I enterred it in a competition as a still Perry and took Home silver in the standard cider and Perry category. Previous feedback was that it would be better with a nice...

    Everyday Simplest Dry Cider

If you see foam your fermentation is fine you just have a leaky stopper or airlock that won’t bubble until you adjust and reseal it

    Everyday Simplest Dry Cider

and don't worry about flavour differences from not adding AJC at the end, the AJC is really only there as a source of priming sugar for carbonation. As for 4 weeks or until clear. I'm sure you'll be fine to transfer it at 4 weeks, but if it's still hazy as all get out, then you might want to...

    Everyday Simplest Dry Cider

One Gallon of juice and 1/5 packet of yeast. Go for it, it’ll be fine. As for transferring if you wait until it drops clear that would be the best time to do that. If you’re just going to serve from the one gallon jug in the fridge i wouldn’t prune with AJC as your gallon jug probably isn’t...

    Homemade Bread Thread

I’m now getting consistent results out of my spent grain bread and it makes excellent sandwich bread after a few hours rest in a bag to soften the crust. I can slice it into 3/8 inch thick slices and the wife and kids like it. Rise time varies, and takes twice as long if not more if I put it in...

Glass pans will cook differently than metal pans or silicone pans. I’m not sure how to adjust for the differences, but it definitely will change the loaf.

    Homemade Bread Thread

Made a spent grain no knead sandwich loaf. I can attest to the crust getting softer after being overnight in a bag. Replaced 16% of the flour with spent grain from an amber lager.

    Don't Do That.

Don't use your hop sack to act as a makeshift plug in the basement sink while chilling your wort. The sink had no strainer and after a few minutes the force of the water pushed the sack down the drain and into the piping under the concrete floor. 40 minutes of snaking and pulling apart...
